5,0 su 5 stelle Absolute gem of a watch, which looks great and keep the time perfectly.

An absolute gem of a watch made by Ingersoll; looks great and keep the time perfectly.

I think its looks have been added to by it having a blue face and not having a dark blue strap; which although they should be good, I have found can make the watch look a bit too dark.

You've probably heard of the expression "Mickey Mouse watch" but did you know that there really was a Mickey Mouse watch, and Ingersoll made it?

I don't know what to call this one. The manufacturer gives it the name Nashville and for reasons I can't explain, that seems appropriate somehow. First impressions were very positive - it comes in an unusual box that instantly made me think that this would make for a great gift. As soon as I took the Nashville out of its box, I liked it. I liked pretty much everything about it. It's unusual, it's classy, it's beefy and solid, the leather strap is exceptionally thick and durable and its overall style seems to transcend time not just in years, but in decades too. It's a successful hybrid of old and new.

It's automatic, so no batteries are needed. In theory, it should last forever, or at least for a very long time. Kinetic movement generates the power needed to make the watch operate.

So everything was totally positive, which was a bit of a surprise given that this isn't made in either Switzerland or Japan - in fact I believe it's made in China.

But all the good vibes faded away the day after putting it on. To my complete astonishment, 24 hours after powering it up, it had gained TWENTY MINUTES. Yes, twenty minutes added to what would otherwise have been the right time. I have never experienced anything remotely like this before. Even one minute gained or lost in a day would be pretty bad - but twenty?

Maybe it's a running-in issue that will disappear after a while. I hope so, and if that happens I will update this review. But the watch is basically useless, and that's a real shame for me because I like everything else about it.

4,0 su 5 stelle faulty power reserve hand
Recensito nel Regno Unito il 31 luglio 2022
Colore: MarroneRecensione dei clienti Amazon Vine di un prodotto gratuito( Cos'è? )
this is the nashvillie i13001 model from the brand ingersoll, which was a watch manufacturer from the united states founded in 1892, now it’s owned by a hong kong company

this watch came in a decent cardboard box package, inside there is a brown leather sleeve to hold the watch

the watch itself is quite heavy, it’s a normal weight for an automatic watch with steel case, this watch has 5 hands on the dial, hour, minute, second, day and power reserve

this is my first automatic watch with the power reserve indicator, which i found it’s very interesting to see the power reserve increase when manually wind or automatic wind the watch

there is a front window to see the watch mechanism inside, also an exhibition back that i can see the rotor, jewel as well as all those gears working together

surface, watch case and everything are well made, watch bands are made of horween leather, which is an well known and high quality leather, very comfortable to wear and look really smart

however, the first issue i noticed that was the power reserve hand never go beyond the red area, that’s just the middle of the whole power reserve area, no matter how i shake or wind the watch manually

i left the watch for 2 days and eventually found the power reserve hand misplaced when fully unwind, the hand sticked to the bezel and stopped, so that’s the reason why the hand never can reach the full power reserve point, that really disappointed me, as i always think automatic watches are all precisely made with good craftsmanship

this watch got a lifetime warranty so i contacted the repair centre, got a reply in one day with a repair form, so i posted it back to london for a repair

well, i hope everything will back to normal as this watch look great and smart for my work

will surely update my review when the watch got repaired

i believe it’s only by chance that i got a faulty watch, still i’m happy with the watch overall, would recommend

hope you find these information helpful

This watch is quite self explanatory but for the instruction manual, use the GR code which takes you to the lifetime warranty page and then click the watch identification code which is l13001 on the pop down menu and the instructions are very helpful.

This is an automatic or self-winding watch which is a mechanical watch in which the mainspring is wound automatically as a result of the natural motion of the wearer's arm, making regular manual winding unnecessary.

When you receive the watch for the first time it may not be running. This is because the watch has no power to operate. The watch must be given an initial manual wind with 15 to 20 turns of the crown and then while the watch is worn it will wind itself and maintain the correct time. When setting the time please ensure the hands only move in a clockwise direction to avoid damage. The accuracy tolerance of our automatic movements is -40 to +40 seconds per day, worn under normal conditions.

In order to maintain power the watch may be taken off the wrist for a maximum period of 30 hours. It must be remembered that if the watch is worn while sleeping the movement of the wrist may be insufficient to maintain the automatic winding function but my son must move about a lot in his sleep as it hasn’t lost time yet.

The calendar date is easy to set with the button on the side using a pen nib. The calendar is hard to read though and to see to set as it’s so small. To achieve an accurate date setting, using a pointed device press the button until a date prior to the date required is achieved, i.e if today is 16th then set it onto 15th…Now pull the crown out and rotate anti-clockwise until the date is correctly set, continue to rotate further to set the hands to correct time, making sure it is correctly set to AM & PM.

All Ingersoll models have a water resistant construction but it wasn’t clear which resistance this model had but there is a chart that clearly tells you if you can figure it out but all models are accidental splash resistant.

This is an extremely weighty and chunky watch as is the strap so double check the measurements. The thick strap makes it a little tricky to take off and it will be interesting to see if the leather becomes more pliable in time… It’s a handsome watch and very classy looking. I loved the blue and tan combination. Although there are no numbers on the dial the big chunky hour markers make it easy to read.

The packaging definitely gives the watch a pre Wow! factor so would make a lovely postal gift so I’m very happy to recommend and I hope my photos helped ☺️
